“EXCHANGE”
Exchange has to do with the way in which we give and take or receive in our interactions with the people in our systems: family members, friends, colleagues and so on. Ideally, our giving and receiving movements should be in balance, but most often they are not. We grow up with certain beliefs and practices that may lead us to push the balance more on one side, always from a good intention, aiming on a good outcome and rarely achieving it.
The systemic approach offers a fresh perspective on
Feeling of frustration and unfairness
The unseen dynamics and consequences of the imbalance are surprising and bewildering. The one that always gives may end up in frustration and resentment that what is given is not received properly by the others. But when giving comes from a systemic imbalance, the giver is the needy one, not the receiver, which makes the whole process lopsided.
During the workshops we will explore ways of restoring the balance of giving and taking at home and at work, so that what is to be given and what is to be received to flow freely and equitably.
